Role Description:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will design and develop mechanical systems and equipment for industrial automation and injection mold applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing detailed designs and 3D models, performing engineering calculations, and overseeing prototype builds and testing. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting R&D initiatives, and contributing to the optimization of manufacturing lines and high-precision mold solutions. The engineer will also manage project timelines, documentation, and technical communication with internal stakeholders and clients. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Loveland, CO.
Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with expertise in mechanical systems, components, and materials.
- Proficiency in Machine Design, including mechanism development, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturability.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) for 3D modeling and technical drawings.
- Background in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, risk assessment, and coordination of cross-functional teams.
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D), including concept generation, prototyping, testing, and design iteration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience in industrial automation, robotics, injection molds, or packaging machinery is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with standar industrial robots (6-axis, Scara, Delta, etc.)
- Ability to size and specify motors, sensors, switch enclosures, and other electrical components.
- Ability to interpret industry standards and apply best practices in safety, quality, and reliability.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Eligibility to work on-site in Fort Collins, CO and willingness to engage with global teams and customers as needed.
- Ability to travel u to 10% of the time.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in mechanical engineering.
- Colorado resident preferred (there is NO moving or relocation assistance)
- Must be a US citizen.
